Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is in the heart of Romsey and close to the Abbey, making it a convenient stop in this lovely small town. The rooms provide both a bath and a shower, but lacking a full-length mirror was a downside. The service encountered, including some issues with communication and door unlocking, was a bit mixed. The dining experience, although nice when included in the B&B rate, was lacking in variety and could be considered expensive if purchased separately. The location gets top marks for being central but needs some modern updates for the 21st century.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the room offered a great view of the town from a 60” flat screen TV and a Nespresso machine, the small and uncomfortable space was a downside for me. The service was excellent, but some areas like stairs and pre-dinner drink service could be improved. The location was perfect for exploring Romsey with its historical charm, but the limited restaurant menu was a letdown. The dining experience had delicious options, but being a vegan, the choices were very limited. Overall, a stay with highs and lows.
The hotel had a mixed experience with comfy rooms but small for double occupancy and lacking bathroom shelves. The service was friendly, although a bit insistent on details. The location was convenient but did not represent good value for money. The dining was a bit inconsistent, with tasty food but some timing issues. Overall, it was a decent stay with room for improvement.
